With Sequoia 17, Boris FX presents a further development of this software. In addition to the optimized design, new features include the immersive 3D audio format, the ADM editor, and Dolby Atmos.
With integrated Dolby Atmos, sounds can be precisely placed and moved in 3D space. This enables soundscapes that go beyond conventional surround sound.
The ADM Editor supports the structured management and clear display of ADM (Audio Definition Model) metadata for immersive audio formats such as Dolby Atmos. The editor allows ADM metadata to be organized and kept track of throughout the entire production process, from creation to final ADM export.
The new range markers speed up the editing and mixing of song sections, audiobook chapters, podcast segments, and other audio recordings. Selected track ranges can be marked with individual colors and names, resulting in greater visual clarity and structure. All project tracks can be exported as individual audio files, including the audio content of the AUX and submix buses, without having to render them separately. This is ideal for collaborative projects or archiving complex mixes.
Projects can now be exported in multiple codecs simultaneously and in multiple formats such as surround and stereo. The new, convenient export list even allows you to select and export multiple projects at once.
ARA2 supports the integration of plug-ins such as Celemony Melodyne. It enables the direct transfer of tempo and pitch values, volume and intonation, as well as the display and playback of all objects on a track - a game changer for any workflow. Any number of external hardware effects can be easily integrated into the Sequoia mixer as latency-compensated plug-ins. This makes working with effects devices more intuitive and easier - with more creative possibilities and more flexible routing.
Sequoia 17 features the latest version of Acon Digital's Spectral Cleaning tool. Acoustica 7 Premium Edition offers a comprehensive toolkit with high-precision editing tools for creating distinctive and original sound designs. The AI-powered Remix tool can split an audio file into five stems, allowing their levels to be adjusted in real time. Acoustica 7 offers state-of-the-art spectral editing as well as a range of tools for mastering, audio restoration, and dialogue cleanup.
CrumplePop's AI-powered audio restoration plugins are a very fast and easy way to eliminate noise and other unwanted sounds from speech and vocal recordings. Whether it's echo, background noise, uneven volume, traffic, or something else, simply set the desired level of noise removal in CrumplePop and the problem is solved. Unlike other tools, CrumplePop does not work with the cloud, but entirely on the local computer, thus protecting the user's data.
