Vinten – Professional Tripod Systems for Broadcast and Film
Vinten is a leading provider of exceptional tripod and camera systems, recognized worldwide in the film, television, and broadcast industries for their precision, stability, and innovative technology.
Founded in 1909 by William Vinten in the UK, the company established its connection to the film and broadcast industries with the development of the first aerial camera system during World War I. Further groundbreaking innovations, such as the first fluid head for smooth camera movements and specialized cameras for cinematic applications, quickly made Vinten a respected brand.
In 1995, the Vinten Group plc was established to drive expansion and acquisition of additional brands. This restructuring ultimately led to the creation of Videndum plc, under which Vinten now operates alongside other renowned brands such as Teradek, SmallHD, Wooden Camera, Anton/Bauer, Sachtler, and Litepanels. While Videndum manages a broad brand portfolio as a global company, Vinten remains synonymous with precision and innovation in camera support systems.
Vinten's product range includes tripod solutions with precise fluid heads for smooth movements, as well as modular pedestals that are ideal for studio productions. Noteworthy are the Vision fluid heads, known for their exceptional movement accuracy and high load capacity, as well as the automated Vantage heads, designed specifically for remote broadcasting. The range is complemented by accessories like balance plates and control systems, allowing for tailored setups for each production.
New Media AV distributes Vinten's products in the DACH region and selected countries in Central Eastern Europe.
