Wooden Camera designs and manufactures innovative camera accessories for professionals.
The company was founded in 2011 by Elizabeth and Ryan Schorman, a married couple from Dallas, Texas. Ryan, who is responsible for product development, began filming skateboard videos during his teenage years. After graduating from the University of North Texas, he worked with several advertising agencies and produced videos for magazines and TV. He was also active as a freelancer.
The RED Epic inspired him to create his first product, the A-Box, which adapted XLR to 3.5mm connectors. After fine-tuning the manufacturing process, more than 900 other products were to follow.
The company is based in Dallas, Texas. Wooden Camera has been part of Videndum Creative Solutions since September 2016 - just like Teradek and SmallHD.
