Wooden Camera is a US-based specialist in professional camera rigging and accessories, offering the highest flexibility and quality to both experienced filmmakers and aspiring creatives.
"It’s great when you can use a personal passion to make others’ work easier," says founder Ryan Schorman, describing the philosophy behind his company. Together with his wife Elizabeth, Ryan founded Wooden Camera in 2011 in Dallas, Texas. Inspired by his passion for skateboard filming, Ryan began developing simple yet effective camera accessories. The first product, the A-Box, converted a camera's 3.5mm audio input into an XLR standard connection. Today, Wooden Camera is globally known for durable and versatile components that can be flexibly adapted to camera models from brands like Blackmagic Design, ARRI, RED, or Sony.
Since 2016, the company has been part of Videndum plc's Creative Solutions Group, along with Teradek and SmallHD, and is particularly well-established in the professional cinema sector.
The product range includes robust camera cages, shoulder mounts, and modular accessories such as cheese plates, top handles, and baseplates. The offering is complemented by audio adapters, innovative power solutions, and follow-focus systems. This wide selection allows filmmakers to tailor their setups to their specific needs.
