Description

The amaran Fresnel is a compact Fresnel attachment with a Bowens mount, designed to enhance and shape the light output of the two amaran Ray 360c and Ray 660c lights. With a large lens (24.5 cm diameter), a wide beam angle of 15 to 45 degrees, and the included 4-wing barn doors, the Fresnel extends the range and precision of these studio lights.

The Fresnel dramatically increases light output—up to 9 times with the amaran Ray 360c (up to 18,110 lux/3 m) and up to 7 times with the amaran Ray 660c (up to 31,700 lux/3 m), while maintaining a consistent light falloff from center to edge. In the 15-degree position, the Fresnel produces a concentrated beam of light, while at 45 degrees it provides wider, more even illumination. The 4-wing barn doors allow the light to be precisely shaped and designed. At the same time, unwanted light scatter is quickly eliminated.
