With Optics, you get 160 filters and thousands of presets. Optics offers everything you need to creatively expand and enhance your photos with an impressive collection of filters. Grade your image like a movie or transform it with incredible light effects. All filters can be applied to part of the image using simple yet fine masking tools. A layering system for applying multiple filters, a built-in paint system for minor corrections, and the batch processing system of the standalone version complete the toolkit of Optics. Optics is the only Photoshop filter set specifically simulating optical camera filters. This includes diffusion filters like Fog, Frost, Mist, Net, and Silk filters as well as color filters like Color Gradient, Color Spot, ND Gradient, Photographic, Skin Tone, and Sunset filters. Diffusion filters were created based on real optical diffusion filters. Color filters were created by converting spectral transmission curves into RGB values.

Optics offers powerful masking tools to replace backgrounds and isolate effects based on a variety of user-defined parameters. Sophisticated yet easy-to-use masking tools include Gradient, Spot, Path, Snap, EZ Mask, Selection, and Paint Masking.
Combine multiple masks through blend modes. The Optics user interface was designed for creative decision-making and optimized to produce responsive visual results. GPU acceleration provides fast, interactive effects when correcting images. Viewer resolution control allows quick previews of effects even in the highest resolutions. Variation and seed generators on effect parameters provide virtually limitless variations. Optics has a non-destructive workflow for ultimate flexibility.
