Ikan Studio Rover NDI
The Studio Rover from Ikan was designed to facilitate easy movement between different locations within an office or studio. This mobile studio includes an NDI teleprompter, a PoE studio light with a height-adjustable tripod, an SDI confidence monitor, and a motorized center column. It is built on a cart from Big Foot Mobile Systems featuring a 19-inch rack. The teleprompter system can be fully lowered, allowing a cover to be placed over it for transport over longer distances.
The Aura 19-inch widescreen teleprompter is a lightweight aluminum teleprompter with NDI video transmission and a 65/35 beam splitter. It features two 19-inch widescreen monitors with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a brightness of 500 nits. It supports NDI, SDI, HDMI, VGA, and composite inputs and offers multiple camera mounts.
The Shock Rack is a rugged, professional-grade enclosure featuring two 19-inch 6RU racks with a depth of 30 inches. The inner frame is suspended on eight high-performance shock absorbers, providing excellent protection against vibrations, shocks, and impacts. This extends the service life of the equipment in demanding environments. The Shock Rack features an efficient cooling system with two high-performance fans for intake and exhaust air, ensuring optimal air circulation throughout the enclosure. The reinforced outer frame edges and corners are made of highly impact-resistant materials.
Four-inch casters allow for effortless maneuvering of the rack cart. They also ensure stability, preventing movement during setup, operation, or storage.
The Studio Rover comes with two angled platforms. Two 6 6 I/O patch panels (available as an option) can be customized for specific equipment using D-Series connectors. Important connections and ports are easily accessible without having to open the rack or search through the internal components.
The motorized column securely supports the teleprompter and the LED light and allows for precise height adjustments with a generous stroke of 650 mm. Height presets can be easily saved and recalled, which increases efficiency during rehearsals, broadcasts, or presentations.
The hinged doors feature ventilated panels mounted on sturdy hinges. This facilitates access to the interior of the cart and promotes air circulation. The doors can be removed quickly and without tools, simplifying maintenance, upgrades, or changes to the equipment configuration. A simple locking mechanism prevents unauthorized access during storage or transport.
The LSH-POE lighting stand is mounted on the back of the teleprompter base. The built-in RJ45 connector facilitates a direct Ethernet connection for powering and controlling PoE-enabled lights. A coiled Ethernet cable runs through the stand arm to its tip, allowing for easy plug-in connection to a PoE light.
The two-color DMX LED light panel LBX8-POE is adjustable to color temperatures between 3200 and 5600 K and, with its high color rendering index (CRI 97), is ideal for professional use. Thanks to control via Art-Net or sACN protocols, precise DMX integration is possible via a single Ethernet cable for both power and data. The slim, fanless design provides artifact-free, soft light with a beam angle of 110 degrees and built-in diffusion.
The compact D-Series connection box at the base of the teleprompter features two versatile patch ports. Cables can be connected directly, saving time and simplifying setup. The box also serves as a secure mounting point for cable routing.
Thanks to the cable management system, cables running between the teleprompter base and the cart are concealed and kept tidy. Depending on the configuration, the cable tray can be shortened or repositioned, which, among other things, reduces wear on the connectors.
The split lid (available as an option) for the upper section of the cart ensures that equipment is securely protected during transport. Six sturdy twist locks firmly secure the two halves together. The foam padding inside absorbs shocks and protects the column, lighting, and teleprompter from vibrations and jolts.
