BirdDog Flex 4K In
The Flex 4K NDI Converters from BirdDog are extremely compact but offer everything you would expect from BirdDog's single-cable solution: Tally, audio intercom, video, audio, PTZ control, and power all run through a single Ethernet cable. In the Flex 4K family, there are three models available for different workflows: the Flex 4K In, the 4K Backpack, and the Flex 4K Out.
Slightly larger than a credit card footprint, the Flex 4K NDI encoders and decoders are among the smallest devices of their kind. In addition to the single-cable solution shared by all three devices, the Flex 4K In also provides a 12V/15W DC power output, which can power a monitor, recorder, or even a camera. Thanks to its special thermal design and very quiet fan, the Flex 4K NDI converters stay cool even on hot days with direct sunlight.
The integrated Halo Tally system of the Flex family can be connected to any NDI-capable software-based production system without the need for extra configuration. The Halo Tally is designed to be visible to both the camera crew and the talent in front of the camera.
BirdDog's PTZ cameras offer full NDI functionality. But even when using other cameras, the Flex family can be a valuable asset. Full NDI can be easily encoded via HDMI, and connecting a PTZ control cable enables PTZ pass-through control. A perfect upgrade for PTZ cameras.
